Tough Day at the Office

Priority number one is getting Mariela settled in her new routine. But second priority was getting back to some kind of normal. So, at 6 am, Mariela was up and ready to go. She was bathed fed and shoved in the car seat to head to the office. It only took about 6 trips back in the house for more diapers, sweater, sippy cup WITH JUICE, and all the things that non-parents forget until they actually are parents. Oh, and the keys to the car! This is her opening a gift from our good friends!

After running around in circles, pulling every magazine off the shelf, finding the secret stash of highlighters, then dumping an entire box of sweet potato rice cakes onto the floor - she threw herself on the heap of blankets and knocked herself asleep. 32 minutes, yes, count them - 32 minutes to actually get real big people work done.
So, after those 32 minutes, this is what I had to deal with!!! My looney toon!
Stay tuned - tommorrow is hair cut day! My shaggy puppy needs to get the hair out of her eyes, since she has already walked into the wall twice and my desk when she forgets where she is.

Look at her GO! Too funny and cute! I think she did great for having to go by 6AM! Can't wait to see and hear more of her life at home!

Welcome to life with a 2 year old!!! Too bad she can't have a playdate with Isaac! Hope you guys are settling in at home - Mariela looks like she's right at home in your office! :-)

I can't wait to meet her, you know you HAVE to make the drive north someday, and well... we'll meet you wherever!

Do you want to borrow Cecilia for a day. Between her and Mariela, you wont have an office left.
