Results in the Fed Ex van to the Embassy

For the first time in many months - I feel elated. I just finally saw the lab results that show that Mariela is the same child as in the beginning. The results made it to Guatemala City this morning, and are on their way to the Embassy. I am hoping to be PINK later today or tomorrow, giving us the go ahead to travel to Guatemala City to process her Visa.

If this was a typical case, we would have our appointment and bring her home the following day with us. But, it is not, and we are still waiting for clearance from the Ministerio Publico, PGN and from the local judge ONE LAST TIME!! We are thrilled though to be travelling down there and getting to meet some of the other parents, which we have not met before. Our "family" continues to grow with all the waiting Semillas families, and what comfort we all have together.

This is our daughter, Mariela, all dressed up for her DNA appointment. So glad she showed for the event!!! I will SEE YOU IN A WEEK ;)
On another note, Gary, one of the Semillas families, has been working hard with his foundation to help raise awareness and contributions for Semillas. The link is below for a book they have put together of photos by Gary and photos taken by the Children of Semillas. It is wonderful to see the world through their eyes, when it seems so tarnished through our own. God Bless our children and the families that continue to wait for their children to come home. Continued thanks to our friends and families that continue to check in on us.
