AT LAST!!! Today the approval from RENAP was confirmed to be picked up in Guatemala City. They were going to try and make it to Mixco (the city where Mariela was born) today to get her new birth certificate with our last name. If they do not make it today, at least it should be issued on monday. Then she will get her Guatemalan passport on Tuesday and Tuesday or Wednesday we should be orange!!!! Orange means that the Embassy will issue the call for Mariela's final DNA and we are just weeks away!!!!
The families of Semillas are meeting in D.C. with the Members of Congress and the adoption coalition on. Nov. 17, so we should get some more answers and hopefully be close to a resolution from bringing our children home. I am so excited - I will have to write more later...but finally some positive news to make up for the past non-eventful months!!!! P.S. Good luck to my friend Kim that is going to pick up her daughter forver this weekened!!!!! Many congratulations to a long, happy life ahead.
